Sternberg's Theory of Love

Let me make it clear, it's not just the romantic love we associate with couples. Psychologists try to cook up theories to explain all those things that go inside our human brain and as per Stenberg's Triangular Theory, there are 8 types of love. Varied by the combination of three factors.

Intimacy: described as the feelings of closeness and attachment to one another.

Passion: associated with either physical arousal or emotional stimulation.

Commitment: involves a conscious decision to stick with one another.

eg: Consummate love is the ideal love in a long term relationship, Compassionate love is the love between two best friends.
